Construction Market Forecasts can:

Each standard construction market forecast includes:

  • Details on privately owned construction in five residential, 15 non-residential building, and two nonbuilding categories.
  • A time span with the current year, eight previous years, and five forecasted years.
  • Data on any county in the United States, or any combination of counties, metropolitan statistical areas, states, regions, etc., you choose.
  • Construction values (in either current or constant 1996 dollars) and annual percentage changes.
  • Annual data on employment, population, and income per capita. Other data may be available at an additional cost.

Historical information in the standard Construction Market Forecast is based on building permits and construction-put-in-place data provided by the U.S. Commerce Department. Forecasts include econometric and demographic relationships developed by FMI and FMI’s analysis and interpretation of current and expected social and economic conditions.

Basis

A report on publicly-owned construction, similar in format to the standard Construction Market Forecast, covers only the U.S. in total.

Reports on state and federally financed highway construction are available for most counties or combinations of counties.

Custom reports on a wide variety of construction-related topics.

Other FMI Market Reports

Reports will be delivered in printed or electronic form, in most major text or spreadsheet formats. Graphs can be provided at an additional cost. Delivery time depends on the scope of the project, but is usually within five business days.
